The Grants Management Office is now in the process of providing access to its grants management system (InfoEd) to all researchers and research administrators within UNSW.
It is expected that all those involved in research will now use InfoEd to assist in managing their applications / grants.
InfoEd access is being delivered to faculties in a staged process.
- Commencing in August, users will be given read-only access to the data held in InfoEd. Training will be provided via short presentations designed to accommodate the busy schedules of researchers and research administrators. These presentations will be offered across different days and times at each faculty, providing ample opportunity to attend. .Access to your Info Ed proposal records will mean you can download all associated official documentation, print out a current financial statement (via a direct link to the NSS account record) and check that we have your information correct and up to date.
- Once you have attended training and are familiar with accessing the data in InfoEd, you will be granted the ability to do your Grants Management Office approval paperwork online. It is expected this will commence in October / November. We also expect some research reports to be available to you by then.
What can I see in InfoEd?
As a researcher, do you want to:
- Know if your application has been received by the GMO?
- Know if it has been submitted to the sponsor?
- Know when your next report to the sponsor is due?
- Check the financial status of your award?
As a researcher administrator, do you want to:
- Know who in your area are in the process of submitting applications for a particular round?
- Know which of these are yet to be finalized and submitted to the sponsor?
- Know which applications have been successful and how much they were awarded
- Know when the next set of reports to major sponsors are due?
If the answer to any of these questions is 'Yes', come along to the next InfoEd presentation and learn how to obtain such information, plus more anytime, anywhere, by logging into InfoEd.
