The Grants Management Office (GMO) provides legal support and advice on research-related contracts and agreements with the assistance of a team of staff affiliated with the Legal Office.

 

The GMO will arrange for the review, negotiation and approval (signing) of research agreements relating to scheme-based sponsored research, contract research, clinical trial research and non-funded research activities such as data sharing and material transfer arrangements.

 

The GMO is not able to provide advice on consultancy arrangements, which should be directed to UNSW Global. A matter involving the commercialisation of intellectual property (IP) developed by UNSW should be referred to NewSouth Innovations Pty Ltd. This includes licensing and some contract and collaborative research arrangements involving the significant use of UNSW IP. Direct these issues to NewSouth Innovations.
